administrator permissions – cannot go into

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Hi,
I cannot go into administrator permissions, there shows up the error:

Quote:

Sorry, you are not allowed to edit administrator permissions.

If you think you should have permission to access this page, you will need to edit the $config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] variable in the includes/config.php file.

To allow the administrators to access this page, edit the variable to include the user IDs of those administrators should have access, separating each user ID with a comma, like this:

$config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = '1,25,57';

To allow only a single administrator to access this page, simply add that user's ID with no commas, like this:

$config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = '1';
I went to includes/config.php and added this phrase (with the correct id)
Quote:

$config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = '1,25,57';
but nothing has changed. I probably did it wrongly. Could you help me?

Moved server to new IP now only get Apache 2 test page

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Moved the sever from one IP to another and now the forum does not come up, only the Apache 2 test page.

I admit to not knowing a whole helluva lot about the installation, someone else originally did it, but I never would have thought just changing IP's would knock out the forum.

So what stupid simple setting somewhere have I not changed? :confused:

Cant find custom phrase in my template

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
A while back I didnt want users to edit their username and password from UserCP (edit email & password). I found the custom phrase I created that tells the user they cant edit their username, but I have no idea where/what is calling it. I named it disable_password_change

So the 2 questions I have are:

Where in my template should I find the phrase I created? (again the custom phrase appears when you go to user cp, then click on "edit email & password")

What should I replace it with so that its default (out of the box)? I want users to be able to edit their username and password just like you can by default install.

Thanks!

After a server move I get the following errors anytime I click on ANY post, ANY thread, ANY forum, ANY user:

Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the

No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the

This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view.

You can load the forum index and see the names of threads, forums, users, the post previews, etc. All of that loads and works perfectly until you try and go deeper. memberslist.php even works correctly, until I click on a member and then I get the "This user has not registered" error.

I cannot login to the forum via /admincp or from the forum index, it is rejecting my password which I know to be correct, and has been verified by other individuals to not be functioning either.

The mysql database was backed up using shell, and imported onto the new server a total of 3 times. I personally and my webhost both have verified that there is data in these tables, and the rows. There are the exact amount of rows in this database as the one on the original server that worked perfectly. I've done a mysql backup using ssh and also by the mysql administration tool. The database is good.

The site is heavily modified. I've disabled hooks in the config file. I'm stuck and cannot figure out what else to do. Please help :)

I suddenly got this error message on the main control panel page and the human verification manager option disappeared. Any help? I don't even know where to begin. Here's a link to a screenshot
