Forum Can’t login to admin

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
I have the forum sitting on a dev server with a sub-domain pointing to it. Using the subdomain I can get to the forum fine, but can't login to the admin or post a new thread.

forum.example.com points to -> othersite.com/forum/

Getting the yellow bar vBulletin message "If this is your first visit..." if that's of any help. I think it may be related to options > cookies and http header options > Cookie Domain being set to /blank instead of a custom domain, but what I tried to seem to change anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Suite 4.0.4 Suite Version — Install Step 7 Broken

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
During my install of vb4.0.4, I got to step 7 and then the install redirected itself to: {my_site_url_base}/gs-bin/install.php?step=7&startat=10#end

The page is not found as the directory does not exist. I changed the gs-bin directory to install and then the step to 8, but then after I finish my install is completely broken.

My site URL: http://test.khaccounts.net/

Any help would be appreciated here.

Thanks.

Was upgrading my test board from v4.03 to vb4.04PL1 plus vb404_upgrade_patch.zip

Immediately noticed that all previous image attachments in forum posts no longer display as thumbnails, but only as links.

Investigating further, I went to rebuilt thumbnails, and the process was done in less than 1 second; leading me to believe that all attachments are gone.

I tried clicking on the attachment links and they are now invalid.

Looking at Attachment Manager > Search shows 0 attachments, confirming my suspicions.

Checking into the User Albums also show that all images uploaded have disappeared. Same goes for CMS article image attachments.

Looks like this is yet another big obstacle in upgrading for vb4....

Forum Problems after upgrading to version 4.0.4

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
In IE 7 I get a runtime error on line 0, Object Required. In IE 8 I'm getting the same error on line 1. I haven't tested it in IE6. How do I fix this?
