We are planning to add vbullentin to our application, but we already have a registration and sign on process, I wanted to know is there anyway I could call an API of vbullentin with a user/pwd and it could automatically sign in the user. We do not want the users to sign in to our application and then also to the forms.

I have 1 license... One of my forums that everyone can visit is say X-forum, another is Y-forum, and another is Z-forum...

Lets say I had a different domain pointing to my sever, I know I can set a specific style set to that domain name. But if I somehow used a style that only showed content from "X-forum" to people who visit from "x-forum".com is that against the rules even though in reality "x-forum" is just one of many forums of my main site? Visiting x-forum would make it appear unique but actually joining x-forum would be joining my entire site.

I currently run 3.8.4 PL2 and am very happy with it, I don't intend to upgrade to 4.x anytime soon, maybe never...

I am looking to set up a online community about online gambling and I am interested in buying the vBulletin Forum Suite 4 and have a few things I would like to ask.

1. What are the differences between IPB and VB and which would you say is better and why?

2. I hear there are a lot of errors/bugs with the VB suite edition 4. What kind of problems would occur?

3. I will also be looking at adding on a gaming database/arcade. Where is this offered?

4. I contacted vb about how long the license lasts for and they said it's indefinite period and will stay active for the lifetime of the software. Does this mean that I only have to pay for a new license if I wish to upgrade to a newer version?

5. Once I have bought VB suite 4 is there a possibility to use the lower versions of vbulletin?
